KAWASOTI, Feb 19: Gandaki Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel has said that there will be no shortage of budget for Dumkiwas Triveni road.
Minister Pokharel said that this road would open the door for economic development not only of Nawalpur but also of the entire Gandaki region. He said that despite the efforts made by the province government since its inception, the process has finally moved forward.

The process was taken forward after the Chief Minister himself took the initiative and went to the Ministry of Forest and Environment on January 31. Informing that the work of Detailed Project Report (DPR) will start now, he expressed confidence that UNESCO would soon release the project as it is in the middle zone of the Chitwan National Park.
The work could not proceed as the eight-kilometer section of the 19-kilometer Triveni-Dumkiwas section of the Triveni-Korala road, which is considered as the 'lifeline' of Gandaki province, is the part of the Chitwan National Park and intermediate zone. As Chitwan National Park is listed in the World Heritage List, UNESCO approval is required for development work there.
Chief Minister Pokharel said that there would be no shortage of budget for the road from Dumkiwas to Triveni as both the provincial and federal government would provide a budget for the project. “You can be assured that the project will complete in time as there is enough budget for this project, you can rest assured now,” he said.
