Three COVID-19 infected patients die at Bheri Hospital in a single night

NEPALGUNJ, April 18: Three more COVID-19 patients who were undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital have died in a single night.

NEPALGUNJ, April 18: Three more COVID-19 patients who were undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital have died in a single night. 


Two women and a man from Banke, Bardiya and Dailekh, who were admitted to the hospital's COVID ward, died on Saturday night. According to Tej Oli, focal person of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center, a 73-year-old man from Bardiya Rajapur Municipality died at around 7PM on Saturday. Oli said that he was admitted to Bheri Hospital on April 15 and died within two days.

Similarly, a 78-year-old woman of Baijnath Rural Municipality-8 of Banke died while undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital. Focal person Oli informed that she died at Bheri Hospital around 7:40PM on Saturday. She came for check up due to health problems and was admitted to Bheri after she tested positive for COVID-19 on April 14 .


Similarly, a 68-year-old resident of Dailekh Narayan Municipality-1 died at Bheri Hospital on Saturday night. The PCR test was done on April 12 and was found to be positive on April 13. She was admitted to Bheri Hospital on April 14 and died at around 9:30PM on Saturday. 


With this, the death toll from the COVID-19 in Banke has risen to 60 and the death toll in the outlying districts to 96, said Oli. 


“Three people admitted to Bheri Hospital have died in the interval of three hours,” he said. “There is a need to be very careful to avoid coronavirus infection.”
