Three COVID-19 related deaths reported in Butwal

BUTWAL, April 12: Three patients, who were receiving treatment for COVID-19 infection, died at COVID-19 designated hospital in Butwal on Monday.

BUTWAL, April 12: Three patients, who were receiving treatment for COVID-19 infection, died at COVID-19 designated hospital in Butwal on Monday. 


A patient each from Rupandehi, Kapilvastu and Arghakhanchi districts succumbed to the viral disease, according to Dr Bishnu Gautam, the information officer at the Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal.

The deceased patients include a 71-year-old woman from Rupandehi’s Tilottama Municipality-1, 79-year-old woman from Malarani Rural Municipality-5 (Arghakhanchi) and another 71-year-old patient from Kapilvastu’s Badganga Municipality-3. 


Of them, Rupandehi’s patient had a high fever and pneumonia while the patient from Arghakhanchi was suffering from fever, asthma and pneumonia. The other patient had long been suffering from diabetes. 


All three patients breathed their last at different times on Monday morning.
