LAHAN, May 24: Three persons were killed, and at least 29 others injured in separate road accidents in Siraha, Makawanpur and Chitwan districts.
Two persons were killed when a Kathmandu-bound (Na 8 Kha 982) passenger bus collided head-on with a truck (Na 3 Kha 4264) near Mirchaiya of Siraha district along the highway on Thursday night. At least 25 others were injured. The identity of the dead is yet to be ascertained.

Likewise, an Indian national died when a Bolero skidded off the road and fell around 100 meters at Sisneri of Indra Sarobar rural municipality-3 in Makawanpur district. The deceased has been identified as Kanaiya Sah of Motihari, India.
The injured--the driver Mahesh Bhulan of Bhimphedi rural municipality in Makawanpur district, and Kaniaya Kumar Sah from India--were rushed to Vayodha Hospital in Kathmandu, said the police. A cargo truck carrying fruits skidded off the road and fell into the banks of the Trishuli river at Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 today morning.
The injured--the driver Muhammad Hasan and his helper Sahir Ali--were receiving treatment at Old Medical College in Chitwan, said the police. Their condition is reported to be normal. The truck (UP 32 LN 3870) was en route to Kathmandu from India.
