KATHMANDU, Feb 18: Three names have been recommended for the post of managing director of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC). The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has recommended the names of three people for appointment.
After interviewing the candidates and assessing their action plans, the ministry shortlisted three people. According to the recommendation, the Council of Ministers will now appoint one of the three as the managing director of the NOC.
14 candidates vying for the post of NOC Managing Director
The ministry has recommended the names of Dr Chandika Prasad Bhatta, Dr Dol Prasad Chapagain and Shatrughan Prasad Pudasaini.
Among the three candidates, Bhatta has already served as the managing director of NOC and has been recommended for the post again. The automatic price system in the NOC was started during his tenure.
The ministry has recommended three names for the appointment of managing director in accordance with the guidelines for the appointment and nomination of officials in the public bodies affiliated to the ministry 2078 BS.
The ministry had started the appointment process on December 22, 2023 to fill the vacant position through open competition.
