TIA halts flights after experiencing problems in approach and area control frequencies

KATHMANDU, April 18: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)’s approach and area control frequencies are down and the airport has come to a standstill. At present, no aircraft can take off or land at the airport.

KATHMANDU, April 18: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)’s approach and area control frequencies are down and the airport has come to a standstill. At present, no aircraft can take off or land at the airport.

Due to the fact that the approach and area control frequencies across Nepal are down, they cannot give any instructions to the aircraft, so the airport has come to a standstill. Now the situation has become dire with the closure of arrivals and departures at the airport.
