BIRGUNJ, Sept 3: A wild tiger which had been causing terror in the Thori rural municipality area of Parsa has been taken under control on Saturday. The tiger was taken under control by the Parsa National Park authorities.
A team deployed from the park has taken control of the tiger from near Baghmorcha Chaghar in ward no 5 of the Rural Municipality, said Chair of Sunakhari Buffer Zone Users Committee, Bhim Bahadur Pakhrin.
Locals obstruct transport in Madi
Kancha Dong, 55, was killed in the attack by the tiger that came out of the park on August 30. The tiger had also killed one of Dong's bulls. Pakhrin said that efforts had been started since September 1 to take the tiger under control.
The team of the national park was joined by the Nepal Army, veterinarians and staff of the National Trust for Nature Conservation in the effort which was carried out by using domesticated elephants.
