KATHMANDU, March 18: A literary festival ‘Tikapur Literature Festival’ is set to be held in Tikapur from April 8 to April 10 under the organization of Tikapur Sahitya Samaj.
According to the organizer Tikapur Sahitya Samaj, it is going to organize this festival to highlight the potential of literature, art, culture, history, archaeological heritage, nature, tourism and social development of the Far Western Province.

On the first day of the festival, writer CK Lal will give a scholarly lecture on the topic 'Social harmony through literature'. The three day festival will have 21 sessions with 75 speakers from the fields of literature, art, culture, politics, education, health, tourism, development, construction, philosophy, history, journalism and social sectors. The organizers also said that Ghazal Sandhya will be organized on the first evening of the festival, Kavya Sandhya on the second day, Sangeet Sandhya on the third day.
Tikapur Sahitya Samaj said that on the occasion of the festival, people who have contributed in the fields of language, literature, art and culture will be honored, awarded and felicitated. According to which, Tikapur Sahitya Samaj will annually award the ‘Khadga Smriti Rastriya Gaurav Award’ with purse of Rs 1 lakh, ‘Tikapur Sahitya Samaj Shrestha Kriti Award’ with purse of Rs 50,000, ‘Tikapur Sahitya Samaj Pratibha Award’ with cash prize of Rs 50,000 and ‘Tikapur Sahitya Samaj Jehendar Bidyarthi Award with purse of Rs 25,000 (students of schools and colleges of Tikapur).
A total of 150 guests from all over the country have been invited for the festival.
