KATHMANDU, Nov 14: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that Tiktok had to be banned to save social harmony and family unity.


Addressing a program organized on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1144 today in Bhaktapur, he gave this clarification.

The cabinet meeting on Monday decided to ban Tiktok.


He said that this decision was taken by the ruling party and the main opposition party standing together to control the tendency to spread disharmony, distortion and anarchy in society.


He said that the government banned TikTok by studying the decisions taken by some of the most democratic and developed countries regarding TikTok.
