EC Secretary and Chief Election Officer for the PR system, Gokarna Mani Dawadi, said the EC would publish the final name list of candidates on October 26 by carrying out investigations into the claim and protest.

Any political party should mandatorily get three percent votes of the total valid votes to get PR seats in HoR  and 1.5 percent in provincial assembly election. "There is a constitutional provision that there should be 33 percent representation of women in parliament. So, the representation of women representatives should be made 33 percent even after fulfilling it from the PR system if it was not met through first-past-the-post election system," Dawadi shared.
