Today's win will start a new chapter for our women's football: Mayor Shah

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: Nepal will play against Bangladesh in the final of Women's SAFF Championship to be held at Dashrath Stadium in Tripureshwor at 5PM today. Before the final match, Balendra Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), congratulated the Nepali team.

He wrote on his official Facebook page, “We are just one step behind the historic victory. We believe that today's victory will start a new chapter for our women's football team. Best wishes to the entire team for the win. Jai Nepal.”


Nepal defeated India in the semi-finals of the tournament while Bangladesh stunned Bhutan.
