Tourism Minister Kiranti welcomes Chinese tourists at TIA

KATHMANDU, April 13: Chinese tourists who came to visit Nepal by chartering an aircraft were welcomed by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kiranti at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today.

KATHMANDU, April 13: Chinese tourists who came to visit Nepal by chartering an aircraft were welcomed by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kiranti at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today.


Chinese tourists who visited Nepal on the eve of Nepali New Year were welcomed at TIAirport with fanfare.

Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kiranti, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song welcomed the Chinese tourists with garlands. A total of 181 Chinese tourists arrived in Nepal by chartering a plane of Himalaya Airlines.


Director General of the Department of Tourism Hom Prasad Luintel said, "It is a matter of happiness for us that so many tourists arrived in Nepal in a single lot. Therefore, we, including the minister, the ambassador, welcomed them at the airport." Luintel said


According to Luitel, as many as 700 Chinese tourists are going to visit Nepal this time and the first lot of that group arrived today. The Chinese tourists arriving in Nepal were also welcomed by playing Panchebaja, a traditional Nepali instrument. Tourists carried the flags of Nepal and China.
