Arrival of tourists exceeds more than 500,000 in seven months of 2023

KATHMANDU, August 1: Arrival of tourists in Nepal since the beginning of 2023 has been encouraging. About 534,210 tourists have visited Nepal in seven months of 2023 from January to July.

KATHMANDU, August 1: Arrival of tourists in Nepal since the beginning of 2023 has been encouraging. About 534,210 tourists have visited Nepal in seven months of 2023 from January to July.


According to the Department of Immigration, 55,074 tourists visited Nepal in January, 2023. It seems that most of the tourists arrived in Nepal after visiting India in the review month. In January, 16,436 tourists came to Nepal from India.


Since then, the number of foreign tourists has been increasing. The number of visitors in February was more than January by 18,000. In the month of February, 73,256 foreign tourists visited Nepal.

During last February, only 19,766 tourists had arrived in Nepal. In the same month of 2021, about 9,146 tourists visited Nepal.


Around 99,426 foreign tourists arrived in Nepal this March. The arrival of tourists in the month of April was also encouraging. According to the Department of Immigration, about 98,774 tourists visited Nepal in the month of April.


Similarly, 77,704 tourists arrived in Nepal in May and 72,250 people came in June. The Department of Immigration said that 57,722 tourists visited Nepal in the month of July.
