KATHMANDU, April 5: The trade union joint coordination committee has protested central government's plan to adjust the employees in the local levels.

During a press meet here today, the committee argued that the central government must not interfere with the local levels, violating the rights of local bodies. Central Chairman of the local level employees' association, Hari Kumar Shrestha, said the central government had no rights to send employees of the federal level to the local levels. It is against constitution, he added.

He further said "Government disobeyed the laws by concentrating the authority in the central government." While accomplishing the employees' adjustment, the employees at the local levels should be prioritized, Shrestha underscored.

After the Council of Ministers decided to depute the employees from various bodies at the local level, the unions showed the concern. RSS
