KATHMANDU, April 6: A new directive for conducting driver’s examination has been introduced as the number of applicants for driving license exceeds 700,000.

As per the new directive introduced by the Department of Transport Management, the applicants can now acquire their driving license scoring more than 70 out of 100 in driver’s examination.


The new directive will come into effect from May 15, according to the spokesperson at the Department of Transport Management, Lekhnath Bhusal.


“Earlier, those who scored 100 in the trial examination were provided with the driving license but now they are only required to score over 70 in order to get their driver license,” Bhusal added.
