The necessary materials that Netra Jyoti Sangh required have been purchased from the Rs 100 million that has been given by the government and Rs 3.9 million that has been donated by the Japanese embassy. They purchased a Rs 3.5 million worth Phaco machine and 15 other types of machines. The Phaco machine is used to treat wounds in the eye. According to chairman Raut, this machine is not available anywhere else in Nepal except for Tilganga Eye Hospital.
The hospital administration has already procured the necessary items for high treatment which includes Operation Theater bed, Microscope, Humidifier, and Sterilization sets.
In the last fiscal year, the money that was donated by the Japanese Embassy was not enough which is why the additional budget was asked from the government. The government provided Rs 10 million which was used to buy additional pieces of equipment.
The building is now in the final stage of construction.
According to Dr Dulliraj Timilsina, this will be the second-largest eye hospital in Nepal after Tilganga eye hospital.
