Trishuli bus plunge kills three, injures 14

DHADING, Aug 9: At least three people died and 14 sustained injuries when a passenger bus plunged into Trishuli River at Salanghat of Rorang rural municipality in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway on Friday morning.

DHADING, Aug 9: At least three people died and 14 sustained injuries when a passenger bus plunged into Trishuli River at Salanghat of Rorang rural municipality in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway on Friday morning. 


The incident occurred when the ill-fated bus (Na 6 Kha 7469) bound for Kathmandu from Malangawa of Sarlahi district skidded off the highway at around 3:30 am.

Police Inspector Rajkumar Baidawar told Republica Online that Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force are carrying out rescue operation in coordination with local residents.


"We have rescued ten persons from the crash site so far," he said adding that they are yet to determine the number of people traveling in the bus.
