TU passes Rs 21.1 billion budget for current fiscal year

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: The annual assembly of Tribhuvan University (TU) held on Tuesday approved a total budget of Rs 21.1 billion for the university for the current fiscal year.

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: The annual assembly of Tribhuvan University (TU) held on Tuesday approved a total budget of Rs 21.1 billion for the university for the current fiscal year. Out of the total budget, Rs 11.31 billion will be received from the government as grants and TU will manage Rs 9.79 billion from internal sources, according to TU.

The annual meeting also approved Prof Dr Krishna Prasad Gautam, dean of Education Faculty and Prof Dr Mohan Prasad Panthi of the Department of Botany as the members of TU Executive Council.Addressing the general assembly of TU senate, Prime Minister and TU Chancellor KP Oli reiterated his statement of making prosperous Nepal and happy Nepalis.


"TU should move ahead to achieve this target with a campaign and be the best university of the world by producing efficient manpower," said PM Oli.Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel said that the teaching-learning process at TU needs to be productive.TU VC Prof Dr Tirtha Raj Khaniya said that they are preparing to implement 'TU Vision for Development—2030'
