PASHUPATINAGAR, July 16: Police have arrested two persons in possession of four homemade guns from Makaibari at Ilam Municipality-3 in Ilam district today.
They were identified as Ram Kumar Rai, 35, of Sandakpur Rural Municipality in Ilam and Min Kumar Fago, 27, from the same locality. According to the District Police Office (DPO), Ilam, the joint mobile team of police from DPO, Ilam and Area Police Office, Pauwa in Paachthar arrested the duo after the police acted on a tip-off. They were informed about the suspicious activities taking places in the bordering place between Ilam and Paanchthar districts.

Police also seized gunpowder from them. An investigation into the case was underway and the case was filed against them on the charge of possessing illegal arms and ammunition, police said.
