Two female pilots conduct int’l flight for the first time in NAC history

KATHMANDU, March 5:  For the first time in the history of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), two female pilots have flown an international flight. The flight was conducted by the team of Captain Bhawana Pant along with co-pilot Srijana Raut.

KATHMANDU, March 5:  For the first time in the history of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), two female pilots have flown an international flight. The flight was conducted by the team of Captain Bhawana Pant along with co-pilot Srijana Raut.


Pilot Pant said that two women pilots flew together for the first time on a flight from Kathmandu to Dubai on Sunday.

According to pilot Pant, this is a historic moment in Nepal’s aviation history. She wrote on her Facebook, "Historic moment in Nepali aviation. History has been created as for the first time in NAC two female pilots flew together on an international flight from Kathmandu to Dubai.”


Pilot Bhawana has been associated with Nepal's aviation sector for the past 25 years. On Sunday at 12:04 AM, the Airbus 320 took off from Kathmandu to the UAE. There were 153 passengers on board.


The NAC said that this team will return to Kathmandu with passengers on next Wednesday's flight. According to the corporation, all the crew members on this flight will be women to mark the International Women's Day on Wednesday.
