Two held with 23 kg hashish in Bara

BARA, Nov 11: Bara Police on Thursday arrested two people for trying to smuggle 23 kg hashish to India from Bara. Those arrested, Saroj Prasad Yadav and Ram Balak Yadav, of Simraungadh Municipality 2 and 3, respectively, were made public on Friday amidst a press conference.

BARA, Nov 11: Bara Police on Thursday arrested two people for trying to smuggle 23 kg hashish to India from Bara. Those arrested, Saroj Prasad Yadav and Ram Balak Yadav, of Simraungadh Municipality 2 and 3, respectively, were made public on Friday amidst a press conference.


Acting on a tip-off provided by the Armed Police Force unit at the Telkuwa base camp, Nepal Police nabbed the accused while they were loading the contraband on a motorcycle at Jamuni Khola of the district.

Raj Kumar Baidawar, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Bara, said instances of drug smuggling are being reported along Nepal-India border. 


Likewise, Bara Police arrested a person with 348 grams of gold from Simraungadh Municipality-6 on Friday. On charge of robbing gold, Bara Police has nabbed Ajay Kumar Shah of the same municipality from his own house along with the yellow metal.
