KATHMANDU, July 6: Cholera has been confirmed in two more persons. According to the Director of Epidemiology and Disease Control Division under the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Chuman Lal Das, cholera patients were found in Hetauda and Changunarayan municipalities.
Both of them are now receiving treatment. With this, the number of cholera patients has reached 21 so far, he added.

People have been urged to drink boiled water or drink water after purifying it with chlorine. The health ministry requested all to adopt precautions to be safe from cholera.
Chief of the District Health Office, Kathmandu, Basanta Adhikari, shared that cholera cases have increased due to consumption of contaminated water.
Coliform was detected in the course of testing the drinking water sources at four places in Kirtipur, he added.
