UNITED STATES, April 5: New York-based two Nepali nationals died recently after falling ill.
Sonam Lama from Mustang district and another man Thongswen Bista died recently, Mingmar Lama, a New York-based Nepali national told Republica Online by phone. Lama had been staying at his rented room after falling sick several days ago. "He was found dead in his room," Mingmar said.

Lama had been living at a rented room at Queens for the past 18 years. He was a suspected COVID-19 patient.
Bista had been living alone at an apartment in Jackson Heights for the past 12 years. Police have taken his body. His postmortem report has yet to be produced, Mingmar said.
Nepali Ambassador to United Sates Arjun Karki confirmed the deaths of two Nepalis in New York. "I am yet to get further details about the deceased," he said.
