Two UML candidates in police control for security

MANGALBARE, May 12: Locals have brought CPN-UML candidates for the chief of Sandakpur Rural Municipality Uday Rai under their control.

MANGALBARE, May 12: Locals have brought CPN-UML candidates for the chief of Sandakpur Rural Municipality Uday Rai under their control. 


They blamed that Rai, who had reached Jamuna of Sandakpur Rural Municipality-5 on Wednesday night, was put in their control as he was allegedly trying to influence voters with money. Ward member candidate Sita karki was also brought under their control.

Chief of the District-based Armed Police Force, Suresh Sapkota, said that both of them were brought under their control for security after locals started chasing them away, accusing them of carrying out publicity campaigns during the silent hour. 


Locals have demanded action against them alleging that both the candidates violated the Election Code of Conduct.
