Two violent incidents in a week scares locals

RAUTAHAT, Jan 29: Thirty five year Siekh Samiullah sustained injuries after unidentified group fired shots at 9 AM today. Samiullah, a resident of Rajpur municipality-9 has been taken to Birgunj for further treatment after the bullet pierced his back.

RAUTAHAT, Jan 29: Thirty five year Siekh Samiullah sustained injuries after unidentified group fired shots at 9 AM today. Samiullah, a resident of Rajpur municipality-9 has been taken to Birgunj for further treatment after the bullet pierced his back.


Samiullah, a farmer, was heading to his farm when the group fired shots near the bank of Bakaiya River. After hearing the gunshots, locals rushed to the site and took Samiullah to hospital.

The police have started to investigate on the case, DSP Ram Kumar Dhani at District Police Office, Gaur said.


Earlier this week, criminals-at-large had killed eight year Mufajul Dewan by slitting his throat. 


Following the new shooting, locals have become fearful and urged the police to investigate the incident with utmost seriousness.
