NAWALPARASI, May 29: Two-way vehicular traffic on the Narayanghat-Butwal road section, which had been blocked for two days, resumed this morning.

The road in Thumsi, located in Gaindakot-9, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East), was blocked due to the collapse of the access road to the bridge. One-way traffic resumed on Tuesday afternoon, and the obstructed Daunne section has been fully operational since this morning.

Chief of the Area Police Office in Gaindakot, Police Inspector Hasta Bahadur Sunar, stated that with the road now open for two-way traffic, vehicles are operating smoothly.

The blockage was caused by slippery soil on the lower hills. Inspector Sunar confirmed that the section, which had been blocked since last night, is now fully operational.

Passengers have faced difficulties, particularly during the rainy season, on the Narayanghat-Butwal road section, which is currently under expansion. The road was similarly blocked for two days last year due to diversions. The repeated delays in expanding the road have caused disruptions and inconvenience for passengers with the arrival of the monsoon season each year.
