Two youths arrested on charge smuggling drugs

JUMLA, Dec 17: Police have arrested two youths from Jumla with a powdered substance that looks like illegal brown sugar.


According to Police Inspector Dharmaraj Joshi at the District Police Office, Jumla, two youths aged around 20 were arrested with the illegal substance based on special information. The arrested youths have been identified as Roshan Shahi, a permanent resident of Tatopani Rural Municipality-8 and currently living in Chandannath Municipality-6, Buspark and Prabin Rawal of Chandan Nath Municipality-6.

Police said the youths were taken into custody at 10:30 am on Friday morning based on a special tip-off they received.


Police recovered two packets of the illegal substance weighing 11.11 ml grams when police carried out a search on them. Police Inspector Joshi said that both of them were taken into custody and further investigation is being conducted.
