KATHMANDU, April 7: On the occasion of World Health Day, the government has started administering typhoid vaccines to children between the age of one year and three months to 15 years amid a program at Durbar High School from today. PM Sher Bahadur Deuba was the chief guest of the program.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) had announced to inoculate 7.5 million children against typhoid. The vaccines will be administered at 56,429 vaccination centers and schools throughout the country. Ten thousand health workers and 112,858 volunteers have been mobilized for the purpose.
