U-19 Asia Cup: India puts 305 runs on board for Nepal to chase

KATHMANDU, Sept 29:  Nepal's U-19 cricket team will have to get 305 runs on the board to defeat India in the first game of U-19 Asia Cup. India, which opted to bat first after loosing the toss scored 304 runs on the board in Bangladesh.

KATHMANDU, Sept 29:  Nepal's U-19 cricket team will have to get 305 runs on the board to defeat India in the first game of U-19 Asia Cup. India, which opted to bat first after loosing the toss scored 304 runs on the board in Bangladesh.


Yashawi Jaiswal, India's opening batsman scored 104 runs hitting eight fours and five sixes. Jaiswal was caught out. Likewise, Simran Singh, Ayush Bodni and Dev Dutta Padikal scored 82, 33 and 30 runs respectively.


Nepali bowlers Bhim Sarki and Rashid Khan took 4 and 2 wicket respectively. The other blowers, Kamal Singh Airee, Sagar Dhakal and Sandeep Jora took one wickets each.

Nepal had reached the semi finals in the previous U-19 Asia Cup. Nepal and India have faced one another seven times. In the seven encounters, India has won six times.
