On the other hand, UML's Kathmandu 5 Election Operational Committee issued a statement regarding the issue stating that candidate Niraula and committee chairman Dangol went to see and wish good health to Tokman Lama, who has been suffering from cancer for a long time in Budhanilkantha. According to the statement, they had gone to get information regarding Lama’s health.

The committee has objected to the fact that the police were called by abusing the state machinery and that they were trying to discredit the party and candidate by abusing them of distributing money.
