UML Chairman Oli meets President Paudel

KATHMANDU, Aug 16: KP Oli, the chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML, had a meeting with President Ramchandra Paudel on Wednesday.

KATHMANDU, Aug 16: KP Oli, the chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML, had a meeting with President Ramchandra Paudel on Wednesday.


The President's Press Advisor Kiran Pokharel said that in the meeting held on Wednesday at the President’s residence Sheetal Niwas, contemporary politics and the deadlock in parliament were discussed.

According to him, in the meeting, President Paudel drew Oli’s attention toward ending the deadlock in parliament as it would increase the despondency of the people if parliament could not function for a long time and it would have a negative effect on the people towards parliament itself.


President Paudel also suggested that all the parties in parliament, including the ruling and the opposition parties, should move forward by creating an environment of trust. 


Meanwhile Oli said he was concerned about President Paudel's health.
