DHANUSHA, Oct 11: All the preparations for the first provincial convention of Nepal Communist Party (UML) Madhesh Province to be held in Janakpurdham from today have been completed.
According to UML Madhesh in-charge Yogesh Bhattarai, the session will be inaugurated today and closed on Thursday. UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli will inaugurate the party’s first Madhesh Province convention in Janakpur.
Laban festival being observed in Madhesh
It is said that he will also lay the foundation stone of the party office 'Mithila Bhawan' in Madhesh Province. Bhattarai said that 1,027 representatives from all 36 municipalities of eight districts, including various people's organizations, will participate in the convention.
Saying that 7000 UML leaders and cadres will participate in the opening session of the convention and 105 volunteers will be mobilized for the proper management of the convention, he added that all the tasks of the convention including security, accommodation, food, cultural programs and mobilization of volunteers have been completed.
According to the UML Madhesh Province Chairman Ramavatar Yadav, who is also the coordinator of the province convention preparation committee, all the preparations for the inaugural session to be held in the hall of Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Mithila Cultural Center in Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City-4 Tirhutiya Gachhi have been completed. Yadav said that the expenses incurred in the provincial convention are managed from internal sources and for that, an entrance fee of Rs 2000 will be charged and financial assistance of Rs 10,000 each from the province assembly members will be taken.
