KATHMANDU, April 29: Daman Bhandari, the candidate of the CPN-UML, has emerged victorious in the Bajhang-1 by-election, securing 11,612 votes.
His closest rival Abhishek Singh of the Nepali Congress received 11,346 votes.

However, the Office of the Election Commission is yet to make a formal announcement of Bhandari’s victroy.
Janak Buda of the CPN (Maoist Center) secured 3,831 votes. Likewise, Dil Bahadur Singh of Unified Socialist got 2,514 votes.
