UML wins in 2 wards, NC in 1 ward in Debchuli Municipality of Nawalparasi

NAWALPARASI, May 15: CPN-UML and Nepali Congress have won the election in 2 wards and in 1 ward respectively in Debchuli Municipality of Nawalparasi.

NAWALPARASI, May 15: CPN-UML and Nepali Congress have won the election in 2 wards and in 1 ward respectively in Debchuli Municipality of Nawalparasi.


Vote count that began at 10 pm on Sunday night has come to an end.

UML candidates Laxmanraj Bhandari and Min Bahadur Soti who contested for the position of ward chairperson have won the election from Ward-1 and Ward-6 respectively.


Bhandari secured 591 votes and Soti 358 votes.


Likewise, NC ward chairperson candidate Keshar Ale has won the election, according to  returning Officer Man Bahadur Khadka. Vote counting in the remaining 14 wards is underway.
