UML wins mayoral post, NC deputy mayor in Lamahi

TULSIPUR (Dang), July 4: CPN (UML) candidate Kul Bahadur KC has got elected to the post of mayor in Lamahi Municipality, Dang beating his nearest competitor from the Nepali Congress with a slight margin in the second phase of local level elections held on June 28. He garnered 5,152 votes to win the election.

His nearest competitor, NC candidate Jograj Chaudhary has secured 5,069 votes. 

Likewise, NC candidate Debaka Belbase has won the election for the post of deputy mayor in the municipality by garnering 5,015 votes while her nearest rival UML's Meena Gurung has obtained 4,833 votes, the District Election Office, Dang said. RSS
