NEW YORK, Sept 24: United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today expressed joy at the completion of Nepal's peace process and constitution writing and also shared his optimism of the Nepal's political parties and stakeholders' succeeding in dealing with remaining task of the peace process.
During a meeting with Nepal's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, who heads the Nepali delegation to the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the UN Secretary-General conveyed a message to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal that Nepal would soon tread the path of prosperity.
On the occasion, he also inquired into the Nepal's efforts and activities to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and wished success in the mission.
Secretary- General Ban Ki-moon also inquired into the state of constitution's implementation following which Foreign Minister Dr Mahat responded by stating that the constitution implementation was gaining momentum in the backdrop of an understanding among the political parties.

He informed the UN Secretary-General of the formation of a coalition government with an alliance between the signatories of the peace agreement– Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre). RSS
