Unidentified group sets fire on TU vehicle used by Rector Tripathi

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: Two unidentified individuals set fire on an official vehicle of Tribhuvan University Rector Shudha Tripathi near the UN Park at Kupandol, Lalitpur on Monday.

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: Two unidentified individuals set fire on an official vehicle of Tribhuvan University Rector Shudha Tripathi near the UN Park at Kupandol, Lalitpur on Monday.

According to DSP Ishwor Karki at Lilitpur Police, two youths stopped the Maruti Suzuki car with number plate Ba 2 Cha 5630, forced Tripathi to come out of it and torched the vehicle. Rector Tripathi is also the coordinator of the election committee formed to hold the upcoming Free Student Union election.


"We have started searching the perpetrators as per the description provided by Tripathi and other witnesses. We are investigating on the act of vandalism," said DSP Karki.
