Unilever Nepal joins hands with Nepal Army towards Mountain Cleanup Campaign 2023

KATHMANDU, April 3: Unilever Nepal Limited has partnered with the Nepal Army towards the ‘Mountain Cleanup Campaign 2023’ with the theme ‘An Endeavour to save the Himalayas’.


According to a statement issued by Unilever Nepal Limited, this is Unilever’s third collaboration with the national cleanup program to keep the Himalayas clean from waste. This year the aim will be to clean Mt. Everest, Mt. Lotse, Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Baruntse and collect 35,000 kilograms of degradable and non-degradable waste.

Managing Director of Unilever Nepal Ltd., Amlan Mukherjee, stated that “through this continued collaboration we aim to set new records this year in collection, segregation, recycling of accumulated waste. Actions in service of Nepal by helping it sustain the pride for its peaks. Unilever could not have found a better cause than that to clean the mountains.


The multi-stakeholder program is aimed at protecting the mountains and minimizing the effects of climate change by cleaning up peaks.
