POKHARA, June 18: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has argued that the unity and collaboration among the political parties was inevitable for implementation of new constitution.

Inaugurating the 15th anniversary of the Lekhnath Small Town Drinking Water User Corporation in Pokhara on Saturday, DPM Rayamajhi reiterated," If there is no unity among the political parties, the political achievements made so far could go kaput."

Referencing the newly unveiled budget estimates for 2016/017, Rayamajhi reaffirmed that it has incorporated all the sectors. Hence, he called for its effective implementation.

Stating that the country should be ushered to the path of economic prosperity, DPM Rayamajhi shared that the government was effortful to reduce the power outage to zero hours in two years and produce 10,000 megawatt of electricity in ten years.

He lauded drinking water project in Lekhnath Municipality as the model one and said that such projects should be undertaken in other parts of the country too.

Also speaking at the program, former Minister and CPN (UML) leader Khagaraj Adhikari said that the government should move ahead with a long-term goal to avail clean drinking water to the public.

Chairperson of Corporation Bodhraj Lamichhane shared that a total of 8,827 drinking water taps were distributed to 46,000 households in Lekhnath Municipality. RSS
