KATHMANDU, April 21: The death toll from series of bomb blasts in Sri Lanka has risen to at least 160, the BBC and the AFP reported.
A total of seven explosions rocked Sri Lanka injuring at least 500 on Easter Day. The explosions took place in three Sri Lankan churches, three luxury hotels and one near the national zoo.
At present, no one has claimed responsibility for the attacks in the country which was at war for decades with Tamil separatists until 2009 during which bomb blasts in the capital were common.

All Nepali nationals safe in Sri Lanka, says Ambassador Pyakurel
Nepal’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Bishwambhar Pyakurel said that all Nepali nationals in Sri Lanka are safe. The Embassy of Nepal in Colombo has been closely monitoring the situation in Sri Lanka. It is learnt that around 400 Nepali nationals are currently residing in Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has expressed sorrow over the multiple blasts in Sri Lanka.
“Shocked by the reports of multiple blasts in Sri Lanka this morning resulting in the loss of precious lives. Heartfelt condolences to the families of victims and deepest sympathy to the Government and people of Sri Lanka. Nepal unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms,” the foreign minister said on Twitter.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that he was shocked by the attacks "against humanity" and bestowed strong belief that those guilty would be brought to justice at the earliest. He expressed condolence with Ranil Wickramasinghe, PM of SriLanka and bereaved families of victims of brutality and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
"Government of Nepal strongly condemns the acts against humanity," Oli said adding that Nepal condemned "terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. We stand by the people of Sri Lanka," he said on Twitter.
