DHADING, Aug 9: The death toll in Dhading bus accident has climbed to five.
The death toll in the bus crash reached five as two more dead bodies were recovered from the swollen Trishuli River during the rescue operation this morning, according to local authorities.
Chief District Officer Bhagirath Pandey told Republica Online that five dead bodies were recovered, 16 persons were rescued alive, and around a dozen passengers are feared missing after a passenger bus plunged into Trishuli River at Salanghat of Rorang rural municipality in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway on Friday morning.

Of the five deceased, two persons have been identified. They have been identified as Ajay Das and Bijaya Kurmi of Sarlahi.
Rescuers on rubber boats and police divers had managed to spot the bus five hours after the crash. The rescuers lifted the bus from the water with the help of a crane.
According to Sarlahi Police, 38 people were traveling in when the bus headed to Kathmandu from Sarlahi last night.
"We are yet to confirm the number of people missing in the bus crash. But the Sarlahi Police has shared us that 38 people were traveling in the bus," he said.
The incident took place when the ill-fated bus (Na 6 Kha 7469) bound for Kathmandu from Malangawa of Sarlahi district veered off the highway at around 3:30 am.
