UPDATE: Nepalgunj truck-microbus collision claims 6, injures 17

NEPALGUNJ, Oct 6: Six people died and 17 were injured when a microbus collided with a truck at Rapti Sonari-02 near Muguwa river on Saturday morning.

Six people were killed and 17 injured when a microbus collided with a truck at Rapti Sonari-02 near Muguwa river on Saturday morning.


A microbus, Ra 1 Kha, 1662, enroute to Nepalgunj from Tulsipur collided with a truck, Lu 1 Kha, 7729, enroute to Kohalpur.

The deceased have been identified as Tulsi Rawat of Dang, Basanti Chaudhary, 27, of Tulsipur, Narayani Shreesh, 40, Drona Budhathoki, 30, and Sugane Chaudhary, 33. The identification of one deceased is yet to be ascertained.


Injured ones are Krishna Rijal, 21, Dhani Dangi, 50, and Gita Bhandari, 24, of Tulsipur-05, Raj Kumari Roka, 43, and Karma Bahadur Budha,42,of Rolpa Thawang-02, Chandra Kala Pun of Sharda municipality-14, Salyan, Indira KC, 40, of Tulsipur-06, Mina yogi, 33, of Chayachetra rural municipality-3, Salyan, Ishwori Oli, 42, of Tulsipur-08, and Tek Bahadur Sunar, 59, of Dang.


Likewise, Kalpana Basnet, 36, of Tulsipur-06, Anjali Barma, 23, of Tulsipur-03, Prem Budha, 23, of Tulsipur-08, Mohan Raj Joshi, 29, of Tulsipur-09, Mankumari Oli, 48, of Tulsipur-07, Anjali Pun(Oli), 22, and Prakash Oli, 25, of Tulsipur-05 were injured.


Injured are receiving treatment at Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital.

A microbus, Ra 1 Kha, 1662, enroute to Nepalgunj from Tulsipur collided with a truck, Lu 1 Kha, 7729, enroute to Kohalpur.


Four died on the spot while two other died during the course of treatment at Kohalpur Teaching Hospital informed Madan Bhujel, chief district officer.


Two of the deceased have been identified as Basanti Chaudhary, 27, and Tulsi Rawat of  Tulsipur municipality-08. However, identity of other two deceased is yet to be ascertained.
