KATHMANDU, April 27: Federal Socialist Forum Nepal chair Upendra Yadav has opined for holding local poll in single phase to strengthen national unity.

Speaking in a face to face program organized by the Reporters' Club here today, leader Yadav stressed on holding local poll in a single phase after amending the constitution.

He added that holding local poll in two phases was not in favor of the nation. Chair Yadav added that the government's latest move of going back from increasing the local level was wrong.

Leader Yadav said that his party will fight in the local poll across the country if the constitution amendment bill was passed. He argued that his party could enter into electoral alliance with the newly formed Rastriya Janata Party Nepal.

In another note, he opined for providing election symbol to the parties which were registered in the parliament. RSS
