KATHMANDU, March 28: The US Embassy in Kathmandu organized a special networking event on Wednesday, bringing together 50 leading Nepali women from diverse sectors. This gathering, aimed at celebrating the achievements of Nepali women, underscored the US Embassy's unwavering support for women's empowerment and their pivotal role in driving progress and development.
According to a statement issued by the Embassy, the event featured a distinguished presence, with attendees including accomplished women representing various fields. US Ambassador to Nepal, Dean R Thompson also delivered a video address, expressing his admiration and encouragement for all participants.

In her welcoming remarks, U.S. Embassy Spokesperson Zehra Naqvi emphasized the importance of recognizing and honoring the accomplishments of women while fostering connections and mutual learning. She commended the attendees for breaking barriers and serving as inspirational figures for individuals of all ages and genders.
During the event, spokesperson Naqvi engaged participants in reflective discussions, encouraging them to share their personal journeys, triumphs, and aspirations for future generations of women.
A notable highlight of the evening was the creation of an admiration wall, featuring photographs and names of each attendee alongside hanging red envelopes. Guests were invited to write notes of admiration for fellow attendees and place them in the designated envelopes, fostering a spirit of appreciation and support within the gathering.
