KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Police have seized a large quantity of electronic cigarettes (vape) in Birgunj. The Parsa Police recovered 15,200 vapes from the railway road area in Birgunj Metropolitan City-6.
According to the Parsa police, this is the largest seizure of vapes to date, with the market value estimated at approximately Rs 48.624 million. Parsa police chief Kumodh Dhungel reported that 76 cartons of vapes were confiscated from Danfe Transport during a raid, following a tip-off about unauthorized storage of vapes. Each carton contained 200 vapes.

Dhungel explained that the large quantity of vapes was discovered during a search prompted by the earlier seizure of smaller amounts by customs officials. The police also revealed that Sudama Prasad from Bihar, India, had rented a room in the house of Railway Road resident Ram Prasad Baire to illegally store the vapes.
