DHANGADHI, Sept 24: A vehicle being used by Minister of State for Supplies, Karna Bahadur BK, for market monitoring Saturday was vandalised at Tikapur of Kailali.

A jeep (Ba 1 Jha 9669) parked on the premises of Siddhartha Hotel was vandalised. The Minister of State and his team reached the Siddhartha Hotel after carrying out monitoring at the Bista Oil Store based in the Tikapur Bazaar, according to Kanchanpur's Chief District Officer Govinda Prasad Rijal.
Back part of the vehicle was damaged in the vandalism. Police have arrested two traders on the accusation of their involvement in the vandalism. Following the incident, an all-party meet was held with the presence of the Minister of State and the CDO.
The local business community has accused the government of causing trouble for small traders on the eve of festivals instead of punishing those not paying taxes to the government.
The team sealed two shops based in Dhangadhi three days ago for unfair trading.
