KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Expensive vehicles brought for various purposes have piled up in the parking lots of government offices. The offices are tempted to buy new cars instead of repairing old ones because of their greed for commission. Many vehicles bought by taxpayer’s money have remained parked on government premises for years without repairs.
Police offices or junkyards?
Although some of the old vehicles that used to be seen in Singha Durbar premises were removed a few years ago, old vehicles can still be seen in government offices outside Singha Durbar. Such vehicles parked in open spaces are left to gather dust. Many of them have worn out and have become unusable.
Here are pictures of parked vehicles left to gather dust over the years at various government offices in Pulchowk, Department of Transport in Baneshwar, Department of Roads and in the premises of Singha Durbar.
