KATHMANDU, March 17: Voting for the election of the new vice president has been completed.
The counting of votes for the election of the new vice president will begin at 3:30 PM on Friday. The counting of votes will be held at the Parliament House in New Baneshwar.
Trump seeks to stop voting, but only counting remains
Voting started at 10AM and ended by 3PM. According to the Election Commission (EC), the certificate of the vice presidential election will be issued on Friday after the counting of votes.
As many as 829 voters including 311 federal MPs and 518 provincial assembly members cast their votes in the election. Out of 334 members of the federal parliament, 311 voted. Out of 550 members of the provincial assemblies, 518 voted.
