A board meeting of the election body on Friday decided to complete the distribution of voter ID cards from the polling centers. "The voters must come to the polling centers to collect their voter ID card within the set deadline. In the absence of the voter, his/her relatives can collect the ID card only after establishing relations," said EC Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma.

It has also decided to begin voter ID card distribution in all 744 local units from April 15. "Social mobilizers and officials trained by the district election offices will be sent to the villages," said Spokesperson Sharma. Before officially launching election voter education, the EC is dispatching election education materials.
