WAFF Women’s Championship: Nepal-Jordon face off in final match today

KATHMANDU, Feb 29: Nepal and Jordan are set to clash in the final of the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Women’s Championship today.

KATHMANDU, Feb 29: Nepal and Jordan are set to clash in the final of the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Women’s Championship today.


The championship match is scheduled to kick off at 10:00 PM (Nepali time) at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jehad, Saudi Arabia.


In the semifinals, Nepal defeated Lebanon with a 2-1 victory, securing their spot in the championship game.

On the other side, Jordan secured their place in the final by defeating Palestine.


However, Nepal faces a potential setback as Sabitra Bhandari ‘Samba’ will be absent from today’s final match.


All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) announced that Sabitra will not be available due to contractual obligations with the French Club En Avant Guingamp.
